6 Sep 20NANOSTEM-NANOCARB Joint Training School
On the 3rd and 4th September NANOSTEM joint forces with NanoCarb, an ETN project, coordinated by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, to deliver the “NANOSTEM-NANOCARB Joint Training School”. The 2nd Summer School and International Meeting were supposed to take place in July in beautiful Coimbra, Portugal. However, COVID-19 had other plans for this 2020. Thus, we had to resort to other means to overcome the issues of travel restrictions all around Europe. ESR 8 participated in The Forest School in Birmingham (Cotteridge Park) as part of the STEM Club act, which the main goal is to promote science to children. This is an weekly event in which a selection of ChemBAM experiments, such as DNA extraction, potato and ground battery, and sensing with fluorescence.
