| 3 Aug 20 |  The 2nd Summer School The 2nd Summer School and International Meeting were supposed to take place in July in beautiful Coimbra, Portugal. However, COVID-19 had other plans for this 2020. Thus, we had to resort to other means to overcome the issues of travel restrictions all around Europe. Some of them got stuck in other countries during their secondments, others had to cancel their plans. The circumstances forced all the ESRs to either work from home or to reduce their research activities to a minimum, to adhere to the restrictions in place. | 28 Jan 20 |  Eirini at The Forest School in BirminghamESR 8 participated in The Forest School in Birmingham (Cotteridge Park) as part of the STEM Club act, which the main goal is to promote science to children. This is an weekly event in which a selection of ChemBAM experiments, such as DNA extraction, potato and ground battery, and sensing with fluorescence.
